Constructed in conventional GRP, the hull was professionally repainted and the underwater sections re-epoxied approximately five years ago at a cost in the region of £20,000.
Recent works include 4 new batteries, rewiring of engine and domestic batteries, installation of autopilot pump.
Moulded plank caulk lines within the GRP hull provide the attractive appearance of traditional timber carvel construction, combining classic styling with the advantages of low-maintenance modern materials.
The design is by Ed Monk Jr., whose highly regarded hull proved so successful that approximately 250 examples were produced. The design remained in production, largely unchanged, until around 2007 under the Monk 36 name.
