2002 – Southerly 135 MK 3 with a Yanmar 56hp engine

Excellent opportunity to own a well-equipped and continuously upgraded example of this highly regarded model. Featuring an innovative lifting keel, she delivers strong offshore performance while offering the unique ability to access shallow anchorages that are typically off-limits to yachts of her size.

The Southerly 135 was designed by Rob Humphreys and built by Northshore Yachts under Lloyds CE certification category A. The model features a cast iron variable draft swing keel that is mounted to a substantial grounding plate. The keel pivots on a two inch stainless steel pin. It draws 2′ 9″ with the keel up and 9′ 9″ with the keel down.

She can be easily sailed by two people. Halyard and reefing lines are fed back through the coach roof and the self tailing winches are positioned within the cockpit for easy handling. The large center cockpit with ample stowage, is designed with both safety and comfort in mind.
