2019 – Cornish Crabbers 24 Mk5 with a Yanmar 2YM15 Engine

The MkV Crabber 24 retains the classic crabber good looks but with the benefit of modern design, construction and materials.

The Cornish Crabber 24 was first introduced in 1975 and has proven to be a hugely successful design for the British builder with several revisions of the original basic design maintaining her appeal. In 2017 Andrew Wolstenholme was commissioned by the builders to undertake a full redesign of the Crabber 24, with the brief being to ‘progress the boat’s performance without turning it into an average white racing boat’. The Cornish Crabber 24 MkV was the result of this project. Blending modern technology with her carbon mast, timber gaff and boom with traditional styling the all new Crabber 24 MkV has rejuvenated this modern classic design while maintaining the traditional Cornish Crabbers family identity.
