2019 – Swallow Yachts Coast 250 with a Yamaha F70 Outboard

The Swallow Yachts Coast 250 lifting keel trailerable yacht is a versatile and beautifully designed coastal cruiser, combining impressive sailing performance, practical cruising accommodation and has the added benefit of being able to motor at speeds close to 15 knots.

This 2019 example benefits from an excellent upgraded specification, including a carbon mast and boom, performance laminate sails, Raymarine navigation equipment, wireless wind instrumentation, sea toilet with holding tank, fridge, twin gas hob, additional battery capacity, solar charging and comes complete with an EU rated road/launch trailer.

The electric lifting keel incorporates an encapsulated cast lead bulb. The twin lifting rudders are controlled via a central tiller, making the Coast 250 particularly well suited to exploring shallow waters, estuaries and beaching locations.

Designed as a light boat with a decent sail area the Coast 250 is fast, fun and responsive under sail.  With the centrally housed 70HP engine dropped, keel up, rudders partially raised and the trim tabs adjusted, she makes effortless double-digit progress hugely enhancing her versatility.

Below deck, the Coast 250 offers a comfortable and functional interior with a 70-litre freshwater tank, pressurised water system, 47-litre Penguin fridge, twin gas hob with full installation, sea toilet with holding tank and folding oak saloon table. The V-berth can be extended to increase the available sleeping space, with upgraded Pacific upholstery and additional storage provided throughout.
